Authorities have taken two people into custody in connection with a shooting that left a man dead in Norman on Wednesday.
Norman police said someone shot and killed Patrick Burton, 51, and then set a fire in his home to cover up the crime.
Patrick Burton, 51, died from a single gunshot wound to the shoulder. Firefighters found his body Wednesday after putting out a fire at 619 Villa Drive.
Burton was found by firefighters about 11 a.m. Feb. 13 inside his burning home at 619 Villa Drive. The house appeared to be ransacked and his truck was missing.
Police say they have identified and located all four persons of interest in the case. Three men and a woman attempted to use Burton’s credit cards around 6 a.m. that same day at a business in the Norman area.
