One man is dead after an officer-involved shooting early Sunday morning in Dallas.
Dallas police said officers went to the 3300 block of Southern Oaks Boulevard at 12:26 a.m. Sunday on a major disturbance call.
The family of a man who was shot and killed by Dallas police officer is asking the department to take another look at the case.
Clinton Allen, 25, was killed March 10 during a disturbance call at an apartment complex in the 3300 block of Southern Oaks Boulevard.
The week began with a Dallas County grand jury declining to indict Dallas police Officer Clark Staller in the fatal shooting of 25-year-old man at an East Oak Cliff apartment complex in March. It ended with that man’s family suing Staller and the city of Dallas in federal court for “answers and compensation.”
On Friday Clinton Allen’s parents, Collette Flanagan and Ronderaline Allen, filed a wrongful death suit in Dallas federal court, claiming that Staller shot their son seven times on March 10 even though he was complying with the officer’s instructions and “not creating an imminent harm.”
