A wanted parolee and a wanted woman were arrested by Porterville Police Department detectives Friday in connection with the city’s latest homicide.
Taken into custody were Jordan Wheeler, 25, and Shereen Macias, 22, both of Porterville, after police went to their residence in the 900 block of South Ohio Street just before 4 a.m. Friday.
They are being held in connection with the shooting death of Jacob Peter Flores, 33, of Porterville.
Flores was found shot to death in his car in the 1600 block of North Lime Street at about 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1. Flores had been shot numerous times as he drove his vehicle in that area.
Police at first thought they were responding to a traffic collision after Flores crashed, but saw he had been shot. Evidence at the scene indicated multiple shots were fired into Flores’ vehicle through the window and door.
