BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — A Birmingham man faces a murder charge in the Sunday killing another man after an argument over TV usage.

Quinton Jackson, 47, will be held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $75,000 bond and is charged with murder in the killing of Phillip Donald “Phil” Stallworth, 56, of Birmingham, early Sunday, according to a news release from Birmingham Police Department spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams Jr.

Police were called to 2420 Pearson Ave. Southwest around 1:35 a.m. Sunday and found Stallworth suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on arrival at UAB Hospital.

Investigators determined that Stallworth was shot during an argument with his roommate over use of the television, Williams said.
