Killed – James Cannon (Gibson County, TN)


GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Gibson County Sheriff’s investigators have made an arrest in a fatal shooting incident Tuesday evening near Milan.

Deputies responding to 12 Flowers Subdivision, Milan found James R. Cannon, 58, dead in the residence.

A warrant charging Murder in the First Degree has been issued against Jerry Lynn Heavner, 66, of Milan.

The defendant later admitted to investigators he entered the residence through the back door and shot the victim after an apparent disagreement over a domino game.

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn.- Gibson County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an apparent homicide near Milan. Deputies said the victim was found with gunshot wounds off of 5 Flower Subdivision Road Tuesday night. Officers said they have two persons of interest in custody.–235498481.html
