Indianapolis Metro Police have arrested 19-year-old Brice Price in connection with the murder of 15-year-old Anthony Warren.
Price was arrested on Alabama Street Monday, two days after Warren’s shooting death.
Warren was the 117th homicide victim in Indianapolis this year, up from 89 at this time in 2012.
“We are never going to forget Anthony. Never, never,” said his mother, Nikkita Milledge.
Milledge says she read about her son’s shooting within minutes on Facebook, even before officers identified his body at the scene.
“Because someone put on Facebook, ‘RIP Anthony, I will miss you’ and then the phone calls started coming in to my house and cell phone,” she said.
The shooting happened just before 1 p.m. Saturday in the Rosewood Commons apartment complex near West 56th Street and Georgetown Road. Milledge believes others would have been outside to see or hear something. There are reports of at least one vehicle speeding away from the apartment complex shortly after the gunfire.
