LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The victim of a deadly shooting in Louisville’s Russell neighborhood has been identified as a 17-year-old boy.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Cortez Keith Randolph lived with his grandmother in Fern Creek and was on his way home when he was shot multiple times and killed in an alley at 18th and Broadway late Monday night.
His grandmother said he was a good kid, who mostly made As and Bs as a junior at Moore High School — more As than Bs, she said. She added she had no idea who would kill him.
The coroner said he was waiting at a bus stop at the intersection of 18th and Broadway to go home around 11:00 Monday night.
It happened Monday just before 11:30 p.m. near 18th Street and Broadway.
