FRENCH CAMP – Authorities have identified a man who was shot and killed Monday night in a north Stockton neighborhood.
The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Phi Canh Vong, 38, of Elk Grove. Vong was shot about 7:30 p.m. in the 9200 block of Lariat Lane, a residential street just north of East Hammer Lane near McNair High School, police said.
STOCKTON – Authorities have arrested a second man on suspicion of homicide in connection with the December shooting death of Phi Canh Vong, police said.
Homicide detectives from the Stockton Police Department learned that the suspect, 19-year-old Cahauri Williams, was in Turlock, said Officer Joe Silva, a spokesman for the Police Department. Detectives requested assistance from a U.S. Marshals Service task force and Turlock police, who arrested Williams on suspicion of homicide Thursday, Silva said.
Authorities arrested another man, 33-year-old Kalom McCoy, last month in Patterson in connection with the same case, authorities said. Williams and McCoy were wanted for the homicide of Vong, who was fatally shot Dec. 16 in the 9200 block of Lariat Lane in north Stockton, police said.
