Alabama – Birmingham police said they are looking to the public for help in a slaying that happened Saturday afternoon in Ensley.
Police responded to a report of shots fired shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived on the scene, they found a male victim lying in the road at the intersection of 33rd Street and Avenue E.
Quintin Long, 22, of Birmingham, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Long had left an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Avenue E and gotten into a vehicle with an unknown suspect just before he was found, said police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams Jr. said. The apartment complex is located about a block from where Long’s body was found.
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Two men who face capital murder charges in a December slaying during a heroin purchase have pointed to one another as the person who fired the fatal shot, an investigator testified Tuesday.
Andre Dunlap, 20; Eugene Hale, 23; and Amber Nicole Harris, 19, are charged in the Dec. 21 slaying of Quintin Long, who was 22.
Residents of the Ensley area called 911 at 2:50 p.m. Dec. 21 after hearing gunshots. Birmingham Fire and Rescue paramedics pronounced Long dead at the scene.
