JACKSON, MI – The 34-year-old man police found dead with a gunshot wound to the head has been identified as Phillip Sango, police say.
Jackson police officers found Sango dead about 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at a home in the 600 block of First Street.
Jackson police Lt. Elmer Hitt said there were at least two witnesses to the shooting.
One witness interviewed by police said he did not recognize the suspect and claims he never saw the suspect before the shooting, Hitt said. Police have not yet talked to the second witness.
