Double Shooting – Killed – Marvin Ector (Columbus, OH)

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus Police said two men were shot while sitting in a car at a gas station Monday evening.

It happened around 6:00 p.m. at the Sunoco Gas Station at the corner of Lexington and 5th Avenues.

Marvin Ector, 26, died at the scene. Darnell Gammon, 31, was taken to Grant Medical Center and is expected to survive his injuries.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Columbus teenager is behind bars, along with a 20-year-old man, in connection with a double-shooting at an East Side gas station just before Christmas that left one man dead and another injured.

Michael Watson, 20, and Michael Henderson, 15, were arrested Thursday on murder charges just a few blocks from where Marvin Ector was shot to death on Dec. 23, Columbus Police Homicide Unit detectives said.

Police say Ector, 26, and Darnelle Gammon were shot at approximately 6:00 p.m. while sitting in a car at the Sunoco gas station at 849 E. 5th Avenue. Ector was pronounced dead at scene while Gammon, 31, survived his wounds.
