About a half-hour before a Winston-Salem man was killed in a triple shooting Thursday night, Winston-Salem police were called to his house to investigate a report of shots fired, according to a search warrant filed in the Forsyth County clerk’s office.
Police discovered that a woman and her son had gotten into a fight there over a car and then were asked to leave, the search warrant said. Winston-Salem police received another call about 36 minutes later from that woman saying that people in a burgundy vehicle were shooting at her house and cars, according to the search warrant.
When police arrived, they found Bryant Deon Williams, 28, of 212 Craft Drive dead from a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of a burgundy 2010 Ford Escape in the front yard of a house in the 500 block of Alspaugh Drive. Two passengers — Razjay Dion Banner, 29, of 212 Craft Drive, and Ronnie Lenard Williams, 24, of 436 S. Sunset Drive — were wounded and taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Banner was shot in the left arm. He was treated and released from the hospital. Ronnie Williams had been listed in stable condition at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The hospital had no information on him Monday.
Police said in a news release Monday that the shooting stemmed from a previous dispute between Bryant Williams and several other people who know each other.
The shooting happened in the area of 572 Alspaugh Drive around 11 p.m.
