Police are investigating after a 24-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night in Rylie.
Arturo Pelayo of Dallas died from injuries after being shot multiple times around 7 p.m. Saturday in an alley behind Hunterwood Drive and Vida Court, near U.S. 175 and S. Belt Line Road, according to a police report.
Two men face a capital murder charge in the slaying of a 24-year-old Dallas man who was trying to buy marijuana, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
About 7 p.m. Dec. 28, Arturo Pelayo pulled up to a business in the 15100 block of Seagoville Road in the Rylie area of southeast Dallas. He spoke to someone in a car about buying marijuana, according to police documents.
The two suspects, Tamarrick Delonta Jackson, 17, and Demarcus Dominque Jackson, 19, were passengers in the car, police say.
A witness who was driving the car told police the two suspects told him to drive to an alley behind the 1500 block of Hunterwood Drive. Pelayo followed the car into the alley. The witness said he was admiring the speakers in Pelayo’s car when he heard three shots and saw Pelayo fighting with the two suspects.
The witness said Tamarrick Jackson was holding the gun and shot Pelayo multiple times.
