CHARLOTTE, N.C. Two suspects have been arrested following a deadly shooting on Halloween night in east Charlotte.
Officers responded to the shooting call at the Rosecroft Condominiums, off of W.T. Harris Boulevard, just after 9:30 p.m. and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
Paramedics pronounced 18-year-old Azjee Rolanda Pierce dead at the scene. Another victim was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Officers arrested 19-year-old Deon McDonald for the shooting on Friday. Investigators say the motive is unclear.
A second suspect turned himself into police overnight. Both 19-year-old Harold Lindsey and McDonald are charged with murder, along with other crimes.
Police arrested who they believe is responsible for shooting and killing a pregnant woman in Colorado Springs Monday. The suspect is the victim’s husband, but police said the couple was separated.
32-year-old Andre Jones, of Fountain, faces a first-degree murder charge.
Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Lakeisha Jones, of Colorado Springs. She was expecting a baby girl. Doctors performed a C-Section on the infant and were able to save her. But she remains in the hospital in critical condition.
Lakeisha Jones had three other children ages 4, 10 and 12.
The shooting happened at the Summit Apartments, 2710 Reeve Circle, which is located near Highway 115 and Lake Avenue on the south side of the city.
Police say that the call for help came in at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013.
