Killed – Dolomand Ayers (Columbus, OH)

COLUMBUS, Ohio –

Columbus police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s east side Sunday night.

According to the Columbus police, officers heard what they believed to be gunshots near the area of Oak Street and Linwood Avenue at about 11:51 p.m.

While searching the area, officers found Dolomand Ayers, 31, sitting in a vehicle in the 1300 block of Oak Street, suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The victim of a fatal shooting Sunday night on the Near East Side was identified yesterday.

Dolomand Ayers, 31, was found seated in a vehicle in front of 1336 Oak Street by police officers who heard gunshots in the area about 11:50 p.m. He was pronounced dead at 12:04 a.m. yesterday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene just after midnight Sunday.
