Killed – Lance Mixson (Jersey City, NJ)

A 41-year-old man was found shot dead at the Montgomery Gardens public housing complex early this morning, authorities said.

Lance Mixson, 41, was found shot in the hallway of 567 Montgomery St. at 3:44 this morning, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino said. Mixson was later pronounced dead at the Jersey City Medical Center.

According to a preliminary investigation, Mixson was shot once in the chest, Rubino said. No arrests have been made, Rubino said, but the investigation is ongoing.
