Petersburg Police are trying to find the person who killed 50-year-old William Monroe. He was shot inside a house on summit near Church street – that’s right off Washington street. Monroe’s cousin was the first person to find Monroe.
Davis last saw MeMe Wednesday night before the shop closed. When he didn’t show up for work Thursday and didn’t answer multiple phone calls, people became worried so tank went to check on him. He first went to the home on farmer and Chappell street where he says me-me moved not too long ago.
There was no word Thursday night on how long Monroe’s body had been inside his Summit Street home, but an elementary school student may be able to help police with a timeline.
Police said yesterday that William Monroe was shot to death. Monroe was found inside his home in the 100 block of Summit Street around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
