INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after a person was shot and killed on the city’s northwest side Sunday evening.
Police were called to the 1500 block of West 27th Street shortly before 7:30 p.m.
When officers arrived they found 31-year-old Timothy Loynes suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. At the time, the victim was awake and breathing.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and was pronounced deceased. An autopsy will be performed by the Marion County Coroner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of death.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of W. 27th Street at approximately 7:25 p.m. When they arrived, they found 32-year-old Timothy Loynes suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
