Killed – Aaron Roby (Terrytown, LA)

A man was fatally shot in Terrytown on Sunday evening, authorities said. According to John Fortunato, spokesman for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, Second District officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 200 block of Holmes Boulevard about 9:56 p.m. and found a man who had been shot multiple times.

Authorities said the man was found lying on the ground of the courtyard and pronounced him dead on the scene. The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.

The suspect in the April murder of a Terrytown father was allegedly jealous of the victim’s friendship with his girlfriend. Antoine Johnson, 25, of Metairie, had clashed with Aaron Roby weeks earlier after Roby asked the couple to quiet down during a rowdy argument, according to a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Homicide detectives obtained a warrant for Johnson’s arrest within days of the April 21 murder of Roby, 26. Roby was shot multiple times in the courtyard of his apartment building at 250 Holmes Blvd., in Terrytown. He was dead at the scene, authorities said.
