Murder/Suicide – Killed – Lakshmi Bhat (Falls Church, VA)

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Two people who are dead after a domestic murder-suicide Monday in the Bailey’s Crossroads area of Fairfax County have been identified as Lakshmi Bhat, 62, and Anand Venkata, 36.

Police say Venkata shot and killed Bhat, his mother-in-law, then shot and killed himself.
Fairfax County police received a report of a shooting just before 10 a.m. at the Skyline Towers high-rise apartment complex in the 5500 block of Seminary Road. When police arrived on the scene they found Bhat and Venkata dead in an apartment on the 21st floor.
