JACKSON, Miss.–A murder suicide is now successful three days later. Nancy Pace, 60, shot her sister Melinda Pace in the head Monday afternoon after the two argued in their Jackson home. Melinda died immediately. Nancy has now died, too.

JACKSON, Miss. —Jackson police said a woman is accused of fatally shooting her sister before turning the gun on herself.

Jackson police said Nancy Pace, 60, is accused of fatally shooting her sister, 58-year-old Melinda Pace, before turning the gun on herself.

A dog was also found dead inside a home in the 4500 block of Meadowhill Road, police said.

Neighbors called police to the home at 1:37 p.m. Monday. Both women had suffered gunshot wounds to the head, police said.

The Nancy Pace was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition, police said. Authorities said she will be charged with murder.

Nancy Pace, a woman who neighbors said is in her 50s, is suspected of using the handgun to kill her mentally challenged sister to whom she was a caregiver for.
