Sevier County authorities today released the name of a Seymour man allegedly shot to death Wednesday by his wife during a domestic dispute, officials said.
Donald Gregory, 64, was found dead at his home by deputies, according to a Sevier County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Sheriff Ron Seals said E-911 dispatchers received a call at about 6 p.m. from a man at 1449 Estates Drive stating he had been shot.
Authorities said that at about the same time two female residents of the home showed up at the Sheriffs Office and one of them stated she had just shot her husband, officials said.
A woman who claimed self-defense in the January shooting death of her husband has now been charged with his murder.
Bilinda M. Gregory, 44, of 1449 Estates Drive in Seymour was charged with first-degree murder on Friday night and is being held pending a bond hearing in General Sessions Court.
