To his family, 15-year old Landon Kinsey was an affable teen who had a voracious appetite and loved to play video games.
A popular kid in his neighborhood, he was shot multiple times and died just three blocks away from his Miami Gardens home last week, according to police.
Police say Landon, a sophomore at Miami Carol City High, was shot around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 17th with “some type of rifle.” He died at the scene on 37th Avenue and Northwest 194th Street, just blocks away from his home. It is unclear what led to the shooting, but police have not ruled out that it could be gang related.“That’s an avenue they’re going to look into,” said police spokesman Sgt. Bill Bamford.
